JOB SUMMARY

This is just about the perfect job opportunity for a junior manager who is looking for support to develop and train to become a registered domiciliary care manager and wants to work for one of the best care services in the country.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This well-established (10 years), highly regarded (4.9 out of 5 on homecare.co.uk), independently-owned domiciliary care agency has doubled in size and opened a second branch since appointing a new registered manager 18 months ago.

They are now looking for a Care Manager / Deputy to help manage the day-to-day running of the newer branch in Royal Wootton Bassett, which already has 35 staff. You will report to the registered manager, who is based at the original branch (and is the registered manager of this new branch too).

Your key objective will be to support the growth and development of the service. As well as 'regular' domiciliary care, the company is heavily involved in providing live in care and complex care services and they're very keen to keep expanding this side of the business.

You will also support the new branch to be ready for its first CQC inspection (the original branch is rated Good in all 5 KLOEs but the Royal Wootton Bassett branch hasn't been inspected yet).

Genuine career progression possibilities exist (either becoming registered manager of this office as it grows or starting a new branch) and you will be supported with all further training and development (including the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care, if you don't already have it).

It is a 5 days/week (Monday-Friday) role. The hours are 8.00am-4:30pm with a 30-minute break (40-hour working week) but we're looking for someone with drive and ambition, who understands that managers sometimes need to work flexibly, according to the needs of the business (this might include working a weekend day every now and then, perhaps once every couple of months).

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have some staff supervisory / management experience within a domiciliary care or supported living service.

Experience of live in care and complex care services would be nice but isn't essential. Similarly, experience of training would be nice but isn't essential.

REWARDS

A basic salary in the region of £25,000-30,000 (negotiable, dependent on experience), plus 28 days holiday including stats (plus an extra day on your birthday).
