THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a superb opportunity to work as deputy to one of the most Outstanding care home managers at one of the best luxury care homes in the area.

The role is either 40 or 32 hours across 4 or 3 days per week and will consist of two 12-hour shifts on the floor and one or two 8-hour shifts in the office, supporting the manager with supervisions, appraisals, audits, CQC compliance, infection control monitoring etc.

The 12-hour shifts will be worked on a rotational basis and there will be some weekend working involved. You will also share on-call responsibilities with the manager.

Working alongside this outstanding manager will give you a brilliant foundation for developing your career to manager level and beyond. You will be given an opportunity to undertake a Train the Trainer course and any other relevant training will also be fully supported in any areas of professional interest.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Previous managerial experience at deputy or unit management level in an EMI/Dementia or Nursing Home is essential. You must be a confident leader of people but also capable of building good relations with the staff team.

You'll be working with a manager who is proactive and committed, who goes above and beyond the call of duty to deliver a great service - and we're looking for someone who can offer those qualities too.

SALARY

The hourly rate is likely to be in the region of £12-12.50 per hour. Based on a 40-hour week, that makes the salary between £24,960 and £26,000 and based on a 32-hour week it's between £19,968 and £20,800.
