JOB SUMMARY

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about caring for LD and complex needs service users in a residential setting. You will be working in a person-centred care environment with a highly dedicated team who all share the same vision for providing outstanding care.

There are a number of things that make this job particularly attractive, including:

JOB ROLE

The service is registered for up to 10 service users, both male and female service users; with a mixed age range.

Reporting to the owner, you will be responsible for the autonomous day-to-day management of the home, whilst enjoying the support of a very experience deputy and dedicated providers.

The home itself offers a lovely environment for both service users and staff. The service is situated within a large 8 bedded detached house, most of the rooms have en suites. There is also a large lounge and a pretty garden to the back of the property.

At present there are some CQC challenges. A bonus will be put in place for any improvements and for good local authority contract monitoring

Beyond the immediate challenge of settling into the role, there is scope to become an area manager considering the 3 other residential homes that are owned. However, in the meantime the client is looking for a registered manager who is highly experienced with CQC challenges and improving ratings.

The role is 5 days per week, Monday-Friday, 40 hours, with flexible start and finish times. On call will be rotated once every 3 weeks.

KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who an experienced in managing a LD residential home with challenging behaviours and complex needs.

Candidates whom already have experience in dealing with local authority and placement officers are highly desirable.

Level 5 NVQ is desirable but not essential, however all candidates applying must have 3+ years' experience of being a registered manager.

Candidates applying for this role must be confident with using IT based care programmes and software.

Above all else, we're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering premium quality social care and someone who is looking for a permanent role for the foreseeable future.

SALARY

Salary is likely to be in the region of £35-38K, dependent on experience.

A performance related bonus corresponding with improved CQC ratings and for good local authority contract monitoring.
