Registered Vet Nurse

An exceptional and independent first opinion practice located in Seaham is currently searching for a talented and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their passionate team. With a 4-day week, no OOHs and fantastic opportunities for career development.

This bustling practice stands as a cornerstone of high-quality veterinary care for the Seaham community. Operating from a single, well-established site, the team's dedication to delivering exceptional care while nurturing strong relationships with their clients makes this practice an ideal place for an RVN to make a meaningful impact.

At the heart of this practice, you'll find vet nurses who also serve as practice partners. Their insight and dedication ensure that the team maintains the highest standards of care and a strong sense of purpose. This commitment fosters an environment of continuous improvement and a collective passion for animal well-being.

The practice is home to a friendly and close-knit team comprising 3 skilled vets, 2 experienced RVNs, 4 dedicated SVNs, a Clinic Manager (who is also a VN), an ANA, and a welcoming receptionist.

Fully equipped with modern facilities, the practice ensures top-notch care for their patients. They offer a range of services, from laparoscopic surgery and digital imaging (including dental radiography) to ultrasound, endoscopy, in-house Idexx lab suite, ECG, BP monitoring, diathermy, tonometry, and multiparameter equipment. This allows the team to provide comprehensive and exceptional care under one roof.

With a strong emphasis on work-life balance, the practice offers a 38-hour workweek, over a 4-day week, with 1 in 5 saturday mornings, no Sundays or OOHs.

Key Duties

The practice is seeking an RVN or a final year SVN who is passionate about a wide range of duties, including theatre, in-patient care, lab work, radiography, nurse clinics, schedule 3 tasks, dispensary responsibilities, and in-house staff training. The practice's VN clinics are very busy, presenting you with an opportunity to thrive and grow professionally.

Nurses are valued and encouraged to push their boundaries and explore their interests within the veterinary field.
