Exceptional Optometrist Opportunity in Canvey Island | Flexible Full/Part-Time Working Pattern Available | Salary c. £65,000 FTE, Depending on Experience.


A brand new and exciting role has become available for an Optometrist to join a forward thinking and dynamic Opticians based in Canvey Island on a flexible full or part-time basis.

The practice itself is very well-established and has close links with the community it serves. The ideal candidate will have previous experience or desire to supervise pre-reg Optometrists.

This Modern Store has state of the art equipment including, but not limited to - OCT, phoropter, fundus camera, slit lamp, trial frame, auto refractor and all digital records.

The practice has a tightly knit team with emphasis on staff well-being and happiness, with a family feel to culture within the practice where you will be working closely alongside the business owners.

With numerous options for both clinical and career progression, this is an excellent role for Optometrists from all levels of experience and backgrounds due to the flexible nature of the practice.

Key Duties

• Flexible full or part-time role including one weekend day per week. Min 3 days required.
• General working hours of 9am-5:30pm
• Modern and well-equipped clinical practice including OCT's, phoropters and paperless records
• Pre-screening completed for you
• Supervising pre-reg Optometrists as part of your role
• Working alongside an experienced and tenured team including qualified dispensing staff and other Optometrists

• Competitive salary up to circa. £60,000 - £65,000 FTE (depending on experience)

Key Skills and Qualifications

• GOC registered as a fully qualified Optometrist
• Ideally 2+ years' experience as a qualified Optometrist
• Right to work in the UK
