Care Home Manager Job, Stockport

If you're looking for a really nice, not-too-taxing, residential care home manager role, in a small, Good-rated elderly home in Stockport, where you'll enjoy a huge amount of autonomy to run the service as if it's your own, this might be the perfect job for you! The home is a detached property, located in a nice residential area. It's very homely and provides a really nice environment for residents to live and staff to work. The home looks after elderly residents, some with dementia and it's small, so there's an opportunity to focus on the most important thing, which is providing great person-centred care.


The key objectives are to keep the home well occupied and running smoothly, maintain the home's good reputation and ensure the provision of excellent care.

There are no problems needing fixed but there's every opportunity to build on the home's past successes and make it even better.


The basic salary is likely to be in the region of £35K (negotiable depending on experience).


These are ESSENTIAL requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience of running a residential care home for older people (minimum 20-beds)
  • You're latest CQC inspection to be Overall 'Good' (unless you were performing a turnaround role, in which case you should be able to show evidence of improving regulatory compliance)
  • Level 4/RMA or Level 5 social care qualification
  • Values - person-centred, caring, compassionate, kind and trustworthy.
