Service Engineer Role, X-Ray Equipment, Southampton


X-Ray engineer opportunity, full time Monday - Friday (with overtime option), mainly working in Southampton, basic salary £32k - £35k DOE.
Our clients are a well established, UK based Medical Device firm, who are looking for a professional, personable Electrical Engineer to join their Service Engineering team, working with X-Ray equipment in the hospital environment.
This exciting opportunity will require you to travel to key hospitals in the South of the UK, with the main focus of the work being in Southampton. The role my require occasional National travel, if required to support the business in other areas/ geographies.
You will be provided with full product training across the products, they offer a robust and comprehensive education programme for new starters which can be tailored depending on experience.
This is a full time position, working Monday - Friday, from 8.30am - 5.30pm, with paid overtime and weekend working.

Key Duties

  • Equipment repairs, maintenance, installations across designated accounts
  • Providing technical support to equipment stakeholders, both physically attending site and in the form of telephone support.
  • Assisting with sales demonstrations
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed, including service reports, service procedure forms, modification records and timesheets.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • HND/HNC in electronics or equivalent
  • Ideally you will gave field service experience in a Healthcare environment or like industry
  • Candidates from a military background/ having worked with Radar, will be of key interest
  • Excellent customer communication & presentations skills - you will be the companies ambassador and will need to show the highest level of professionalism in potentially high pressure situations.
