The employer provides state-of-the-art equipment, such as a digital fundus camera, mobile slit lamp, I-care tonometer, retinoscope, and an industry-leading digital records system, eliminating paperwork. All equipment is lightweight and compact.

The role involves visiting an average of 6-7 patients per day at their homes or up to 16 patients in a care home setting. It offers full flexibility to manage your own clinic without commercial pressure, allowing you to advise patients in their home environment on the best solutions for their health and lifestyle.

Key Duties

Tailored Care: Customize your services to meet the unique needs of each patient, offering both sight tests and dispensing where necessary, with generous one-hour appointment times.

Advanced Equipment: Utilize state-of-the-art portable testing equipment, including fundus cameras, and an intuitive digital records system designed by and for Optometrists.

Flexible Working Options: Choose to work full-time or part-time, with a minimum of 3 days per week and no weekend work required.

Clinic Hours: Operating hours are from 9am to 5:30pm, with travel within a 50-mile radius. You will depart from home no earlier than 7:45am and return no later than 6:30pm.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• GOC Registered as an Optometrist
• Tier 2 visas may be available if you do not currently have right to work in the UK
• Full driving license (2 years ideal)
