Registered Veterinary Nurse

One of the UK's leading independent practices is on the lookout for both new graduates and experienced Registered Veterinary Nurses in Tonbridge


With a total of 6 branches, along with the main hospital branch being situated only 15 minutes away from Tonbridge which offers 24/7 care. They take pride in their high quality of service and care. With a team of 7 rotating vets, 3 at the practice on a daily basis, including multiple certificate holders, cases are very rarely referred. This allows for our veterinary nurses to experience a wide variety of cases and procedures. You will be working alongside a strong team of 7 RVN's and 1 SVN.

They are looking to build a team of well rounded RVN's, with an unlimited CPD fund and support for certificates, you are strongly encouraged to explore special interests within the veterinary nursing field. You are also encouraged to qualify and practice as a clinical coach.

Our Tonbridge branch is looking for a nurse to join their rota of 40 hours per week, spread across 4 or 5 days. While there are NO OOH requirements, Nurses are required to join a weekend rota of 1 in 4 Saturdays mornings with time given back in lieu.

Key Duties

  • General nursing duties dealing cats, dogs and other small animals.
  • Nurse consultations.
  • Running in-house laboratory diagnostic tests.
  • Surgical nursing and part taking in schedule 3 procedures where permitted.
  • Providing in-patient care.
  • Dispensing medication according to professional guidelines.
  • Administration and monitoring of anaesthesia

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Registered with the RCVS as a veterinary nurse.
  • Open to both newly qualified and experienced nurses.
  • Highly compassionate towards animals and their owners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and other colleagues.
