This is an independent veterinary practice based in Stamford, They are currently seeking a new graduate veterinary surgeon to join their team. They pride themselves on providing up-to-date and state-of-the-art equipment to ensure that the best possible care is provided for the patients.
Their in-house equipment includes:-
- IDEXX in-house analysers (including Procyte, Catalyst One, Sedivue, UA analyser, COAG, and SNAPSHOT)
- Prep area and separate fully equipped operating theatre
- in-house separate dental suite and tub table
- ergonomic examination tables
- fantastic and capable team of nurses who are always willing to help where needed
- Sevoflurane to allow individual tailored anaesthesia
- Cardell Multi-parameter monitor
- Active patient warmer
- Class 4 K-Laser
- Digital X-Ray
- Ultrasonography
- Endoscope
- Operating microscope
- Fully stocked pharmacy
- Access to VetCT
- Imagyst for in house cytology.
As a new graduate, you will receive support and guidance from an extremely experienced team to help you develop and grow your skills. You will have a staggered case load to start with, which will increase as you gain more experience and confidence. The practice has a wealth of experience in developing and growing new talent, having taken on over 15 new graduates since 2016.
The normal working day is 8.15-6 pm, and you will be allocated time for paperwork, case development, and communications with clients within these hours. Your lunch break is a protected hour, with no interruptions. You will also be required to work on a rota of 1 in 4 weekends, Saturday working on consults 8:15 am - 11 am, then 2:30 pm-4 pm. There may be some inpatients over the weekend, and therefore check-in and care on a Sunday is required. However, a nurse will be onsite if there are inpatients at the practice over the weekend. You will have Tuesday off after working a weekend.
Stamford is a picturesque town, located just a couple of miles from the A1, making it easy to reach. It is a vibrant and historic town, with many local amenities, shops, and restaurants. Stamford also has excellent transport links to nearby cities such as Peterborough, Cambridge, and Leicester, which makes it an ideal location to start your veterinary career.
They understand that starting your first job can be challenging, and they are there to support you every step of the way. The practice are happy to help with finding accommodation if you are relocating, and will provide you with the training and guidance you need to thrive in your new role.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
