Registered Veterinary Nurse Job in Edinburgh


An amazing opportunity has emerged to join a well-established, Independent, Small Animal practice and earn a competitive salary.

We are looking for a hard-working and very friendly Registered Veterinary Nurse to join this proudly independent practice that was established in the early 1980's. The practice is lucky enough to be surrounded by bus links, a short walk to the town's train station as well as only a mere 35 minute drive away from Scotland's bustling and notorious capital, Edinburgh.

You'll be sliding into a dedicated and diligent team that continually offers support and encouragement to each of their colleagues as well as consistent care to their patients and clients every day. The team is constructed with experience, with 12 vets and 15 Nurses, consisting of certificate holders in ECC, Cardiology and many more. Furthermore, this close-knit team is further assisted by a cohesive team of receptionists, out-sourced night team and visiting Veterinary Surgeons.


Rota:

  • 4 day working week
  • Usually shifts run 08:30am - 18:30pm
  • 1:4 Saturdays
  • Saturday shifts are 08:30am - 16:30am
  • No OOH
  • Across three sites

Key Duties:

You'll be tasked to rotationally switch across 3 sites and making a difference in many nursing areas, including:

  • Theatre duties
  • Nursing Consultations
  • Dispensary
  • Assisting the Veterinary Surgeons
  • Assisting in Operations

Plus many more challenging yet enjoyable responsibilities.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Be able to work across three separate practice sites

  • Must be eligible to work and live in the UK
