Independent vet group in Staines is seeking a new Head Nurse to lead their nursing team, with flexible working hours and days as well as a salary of up to £40,000 depending on experience!
An exciting new position has become available for any confident Vet Nurse to manage a large nursing team over a number of practices. Ideally this practice is looking for someone who has previous experience of running a team however, training can be given on any aspects that you may need extra support or guidance in.
This well-established practice has a large team of around 25 Nurses all with different levels of experience working together to give the highest level of care to all patients and they are looking for a new Head Vet Nurse to join their team to help develop, mentor and offer guidance.
This position is open and flexible for the right candidate and this progressive practice is keen to make the position work for the candidate, rather than the other way around. The working rota is open to applicants wanting anywhere between 35-40 hours a week, with a choice on 4 or 5 days based on how you feel you could most efficiently get the job done.
This position for the right candidate will offer insight into the business, whilst allowing progression within an exciting innovative practice.
Key Duties
- Running the nursing team
- Developing and mentoring the team
- Stock
- Appraisals
- Recruitment
- Ensuring standards are met
- Liaising with different team members from management
- Travelling between each of the branches and ensuring the smooth running of each practice

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- Registered on the RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse
- Eligible to work in the UK
- Experience leading a team or mentoring
- A car and driving license as there will be travel involved in the position
