Details of a vacancy for an experienced nurse with a passion for Anaesthesia and Dentistry.

This practice are seeking an anaesthetic nurse who is confident in providing anaesthetic support for a wide range of surgeries and dental treatments in a hospital setting. In this role, we are especially looking for a nurse with a strong passion for dentistry. The majority of your time will be dedicated to coordinating dental clinics, managing and maintaining the IM3 purpose-built Dental Suite and performing dental procedures.

Key Duties

The role will involve ensuring the proper maintenance of all dental equipment and keeping the dental suite in excellent working condition, including restocking consumables.

Knowledge of advanced procedures such as interdental wiring, temporary crown extensions, and incline planes would be a valuable asset, though not required.

Tasks such as conducting post-op rechecks, performing general oral health checks, and encouraging preventative care such as tooth brushing.

The role will also involve managing internal and external referrals and overseeing the dentistry diary, which includes booking procedures and providing estimates to clients. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing in-house staff training and CPD related to dentistry, such as the proper maintenance (sharpening) of dental instruments.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse
• Ideally have a certificate or working towards a certificate in Dentistry
• Confident with abilities in surgery and anaesthetics
