Veterinary Surgeon Role, Chepstow

An exciting and unique opportunity has become available to join a thriving independent in Chepstow offering a brilliant work/life balance and a salary of up to £55,000

Based in the idyllic town of Chepstow, this soon-to-be employee-owned, independent veterinary practice is seeking a confident veterinary surgeon to complement an existing team of experienced vets and nurses.

The practice comes equipped with fantastic facilities, with the purpose built surgery coming with all the usual toys, as well as digital radiology, dental x-ray, ultrasound and bronchoscope. As well as this, there has been a recent addition of a Vetscan Imagyst to give a rapid turnaround of lab results.

The role is full-time, although part-time hours can be accommodated for the right candidate. There is an option for flexible hours, fitting your working times into a schedule that suits you! Saturday work comes on a shared rota between you and the other 5 vets, meaning it comes sporadic compared to the industry standard. You will enjoy a diverse caseload, with no two days being the same, as well as one allocated "ops day" per week. Consults are kept on the single sit to allow excellent case continuity, however there is the occasional requirement to work in the Caldicot branch.

In return, a successful candidate will be rewarded with a generous package. The salary on offer is between £35,000 and £55,000, depending on your experience, as well as minimum CPD allowance of £1,000, with money available for approved training above this amount. You will also have the option to bring your dog to work, meaning you can have peace of mind that your favourite little furry is in an environment where they will have constant attention.
