Sales & Mktg.Commercial Lead - Capital Devices Hospital Sector

We have an exciting opportunity to work with one of our long standing Uk Medical Device manufacturer's, who specialise in hospital furniture, patient transfer equipment and capital product used exclusively in the hospital setting. They have a strong pedigree in this sector and are experiencing high growth in the UK and International markets. They operate in both the NHS & Private hospital market, have strong partnership agreements and have invested heavily in logistic & manufacturing capability. To help achieve their goals & objectives, they are looking to appoint a Sales & Marketing Commercial Lead for the UK & International operations.

This is a really exciting opportunity to join a business who is highly ambitious and eager to develop their already strong UK and International market position.

Candidates who do not have a minimum of 3 years UK device people management experience will not be considered.


Job Summary

To be considered for this role you will need;

  • Have direct people management within devices - Min 3 years
  • A passion for strategy, commercial objectives and be able to inspire thought leadership.
  • Delivered growth in leadership roles within the NHS & Private Hospital setting
  • Ideally have exposure to capital sales processed & have worked within an SME device manufacturer


Territory Details

People Management & Leading UK and International commercial operations/ headcount - Currently 3 but immediate plans to hire 2 heads once this role is appointed


Key Duties

The successful candidate will take the key lead in all commercial matters, manage the sales and marketing function, working closely with Internal stakeholders to help scale the business, with an overall objective of doubling their £10 million turnover within a 3-5 year plan.

  • You will help develop a strategic commercial plan to achieve these goals
  • Directly lead/people manage the existing commercial operatives in both UK and International markets.
  • Develop the existing team and add talent to help achieve overall objectives.
  • Inspire, train, develop and enhance individuals.
  • Mix of office based attendance and field activities
  • Liaise with key internal stakeholders in the business to achieve objectives & growth strategy.


Package and Benefits

  • £50-£70k basic salary
  • Performance related bonus

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Have direct people management within medical devices - Min 3 years

  • Ideally have exposure to capital sales processed & have worked within an SME device manufacturer
  • Experience of NHS purchasing & tenders, while having knowledge of distributor networks
