Vet Surgeon Role, Ealing

A new role in Ealing has become available to work for a highly respected group, working a 4-day week and a salary of £50,000 per annum.

There is a new, exciting opportunity to join a bustling, locally loved practice in the heart of London.

The practice is a first opinion branch in Ealing, and part of a well-known group around central London. They have a long-standing client base and are eager to welcome a new vet into the fold. With a large glass window in the entrance, the space feels airy and open, and the reception pet shop means you get visitors of all kinds. You will be joining a team of 3 experienced vets who hold certificates and interests in dentistry, surgery, small animal medicine, ECC work and soft tissue surgery. A love and passion for dentistry is desirable, however is not essential.

The role consists of a 4-day week, with Wednesday being the set day off. On top of this, there is a shared weekend rota that is every other Saturday morning, working from 9am until 1pm. The surgeon will be able to consult independently, although the team are happy to offer advice and guidance if needed. There will be a mix of medical and surgical cases, so there is plenty to get your teeth stuck into and use as experience for any potential certificates you wish to embark upon.

In return, you will be rewarded with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, which is topped up by a company bonus scheme. With an uncapped CPD allowance included, there are limitless opportunities for you to work towards your personal and professional goals. There is also an advanced holiday allowance of 25 days, plus paid bank holidays. This is complemented by an extra day off on your birthday. All standard memberships, such as RCVS and VDS, fees are covered also.

Key Duties

You will be a confident veterinary surgeon with at least 2 years' experience. As a first opinion practice, there will be a mix of routine surgeries and consults, so you will need to be able to communicate well with both your colleagues and your patient's owners. You will be working a 4-day week, with Wednesday as your weekday off, and follow a shared weekend rota of 1 in 2 Saturday mornings (9am-1pm). You will be able to run your consults independently, and a passion for dentistry is a desirable to add to the team's current skill set.
