We have an exciting opportunity in our Cannock practice for a committed veterinary surgeon. Whether you're experienced or newly qualified, this is your chance to enhance your skills in a supportive setting. Our practice boasts a 4.5 vet team with diverse expertise in surgery and internal medicine.

Our practice handles a varied caseload, including neutering, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and orthopaedics. Sick pets, initial vaccinations, and boosters are scheduled for 20-minute appointments to ensure thorough examinations and detailed note-taking.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week, with flexibility for a 4 or 5-day work week. Weekends involve Saturday mornings until 1 pm on a 1-in-4 rotation, with no OOH, Sundays, or Bank Holidays, providing an excellent work-life balance.

Key Duties

• Perform routine and emergency surgical procedures.
• Provide vaccinations, health check-ups, and preventive care.
• Communicate treatment options and care advice to pet owners.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff.
• Adhere to RCVS professional and ethical standards.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Eligible to work in the UK
• Registered on the RCVS as veterinary surgeon
• Minimum 1 Year experience desirable
