Are you an experienced and forward-thinking Vet Surgeon searching for a fulfilling role in Newcastle? Look no further! A vibrant small animal first opinion practice, just 15 minutes from the city centre, is eagerly seeking a dedicated Vet Surgeon to join their team.

This progressive practice boasts a team of 6 vets, each bringing a wealth of experience ranging up to 20+ years. Supported by a Head Nurse, 5 Full-time RVNs, and a capable ACA team, collaboration and support are at the heart of their operations.

Cutting-edge facilities including Dental X-ray, Digital X-ray, Endoscope, Referral scanner, Orthopaedic equipment, and a Full IDEXX lab ensure top-notch patient care. The practice will gladly invest in equipment to ensure the highest level of care is given to patients.

The practice is locally owned and has been open for over 20+ years and in that time has gained a loyal and friendly client base. The practice is keen on individual progression and they are looking for a Vet to join their team with drive and enthusiasm.

Key Duties

This is a full-time position, with a 4-day week and a regular day off during the week, ensuring a healthy work-life balance. No out-of-hours commitments, with a rotational 1-in-3 Saturday schedule (9 am - 4 pm) and no bank holidays or OOHs.

An interest in diagnostic imaging would be ideal, as you'll have access to advanced diagnostic equipment.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Registered on the RCVS to work as a Veterinary Surgeon
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Interest or willingness to develop in diagnostic imaging
