Excellent Vet Surgeon opportunity to join a charity-based hospital on the outskirts of Swansea City Centre.
With a salary of up-to £50k, the role is ideal for an experienced vet with a passion for the profession.
A fantastic new opportunity has arisen for a motivated and passionate vet to join a bustling non-profit veterinary hospital on the outskirts of Swansea's city centre.
Working with a large, experienced veterinary team, you will be supported by a dedicated RVN team, as well as 1 SVN and 6 ACA's. The hospital is open, airy and fit-for-purpose, with 4 consult rooms, 2 operations theatres (one dedicated entirely to orthopaedics) and a designated cat ward.
The role is full time, offering shift patterns that offer a phenomenal work/life balance, which is backed up by an option to work from home if it be necessary. With no OOH work, the role also offers a industry leading 1 in 9 Saturdays.
In return, you will be rewarded with a salary of up-to £50,494 and 25 holiday days. On top of this, other benefits such as paid bank holidays and monthly travel allowances make it an attractive prospect for a vet wanting the next step in their career.
Key Duties
- Full-time or Part-time
- Option for home-working (phone call consultations)
- 37.5 hour working week
- 1 in 9 Saturday mornings (emergency work only)
- Day back in lieu for any Saturday work
- Shift patterns of 09-1730; 0930-1800; 08-1800; 0830-1530
- Shift compromises of a 40:60 balance of operating to consulting

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- RCVS Registered
- Excellent communication skills
- At least 1 year clinical experience
- Passionate about delivering high clinical standards
