A new opportunity to join a practice with modern attitudes blended with old-school ethics has become available in a 2-site independent practice amining to provide the hightest levels of clinical care.
There are two stand-alone clinics, based in the Abergavenny region which have both undergone refurbishments and modernisation within the last two years. Both clinics come equipped with all of the usual kit that includes digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house lab and laser therapy. You will be based in the idyllic, rural area of Abergavenny, where the Black Mountains will act as a beautiful backdrop.
The team you will be joining hold a vast amount of experience, with an array of specialisms and post-graduate certifications, which includes a holder of a CertAVP in small animal medicine. The team has great staff retention, with many vets being with the practice for over 5 years (including two locums who oved the place so much they joined permenently!)
You will be joining on a truly unique rota. Whilst most standard 4-day week come with weekend work which mean you will work 5 or 6 days during your weekend in. Here, you will benefit from 3 weekdays off when you work your weekend, meaning you only work 16 days per month! Rather than having an on-call rota, each vet works one later shift per week, working from 1pm until 10:30pm.
In return, a successful applicant will recieve a salary of up to £60,000. There is a generous CPD allowance, with vets having access to certificate support and funding. You will also have access to a personal development fund which you can use for physical and mental wellbeing. The right candidate will also have the opportunity to have future shareholder prospects.
Key Duties
- 4 day working week
- 1 in 6 weekends
- The weekend you work, you will have 3 week-days off

- 1 late shift per week (1:30pm - 10:30pm)
- Scheduled admin and call time
- Scheduled practice meeting once per month for clincial discussions
