Exotics Veterinary Surgeon Job - Multi-vet Practice, Birmingham

An excellent new opportunity has come available within a multi-vet practice based in Birmingham.

We are recruiting for an Exotics Veterinary Surgeon to join the practice on a full-time basis. You will be working within a multi-vet practice alongside 3 other experienced Veterinary Surgeons.

The practice is close to the City Centre providing a convenient location for your days off! The practice group has now 7 practices fully equipped with toys including CT Scanning, Digital X-ray, Ultrasound and much more!

They offer a great case load with a dedicated Exotics floor making sure all patients are comfortable when they arrive/stay with the practice. They routinely see zoo animals as well as your small furies and feathered species. You can enjoy ample time for admin following consultation sessions meaning you're not doing overtime catching up with notes!

You will be working alongside very experienced Veterinary Surgeons with 25 Vets across the group. They have multiple certificates holders in the group across different disciplines including: medicine, imaging, surgery and exotics. You will be supported by an amazing 23 RVN team with many of the nurses holding certificates or currently working towards them. They also provide further support with a practice management team, clerical support team and aux nursing support.

Key Duties

• You can enjoy a great work-life balance with just 4 days per week.
• There is no additional OOH or on-call with this position. Weekends are on a rota basis around 1:6 full weekends with time off in lieu.

Package and Benefits

• You will be rewarded for your hard with an above average salary around £50,000 per annum dependent upon experience and further qualifications. If you're looking to start a certificate the practice will fund this for you additionally to the standard CPD budget. RCVS, VDS and extra memberships will be paid. You can also enjoy further time off with 25 days holiday allowance + bank holidays.

• You must be RCVS registered.
