A NEW Veterinary Surgeon role has become available at a charity practice in Aston. Salary on offer of up to £50,949.

An exciting role in a purpose-built, 1 storey clinic has become available due to an increasing caseload. As a non-profit organisation, our client is looking for a Vet Surgeon who has a passion for the Veterinary industry and a drive to produce the highest clinical standards.

In order to manage the high caseload, the practice offers 6 separate consult rooms, with 4 being shared to allow teaching, teamwork and case sharing to offer the best care. The practice comes well equipped with all the routine toys that are usually present, along with orthopaedic kits and a new, high-quality ultrasound machine.

Hours of work are 9am until 5:30pm, with an early start at 8am and a later finish at 6pm once per week. All out-of-hours work is carried out at the local Oldbury Hospital and therefore there is never any overnight duties. Our client does ask you to take part in occasional weekend work in the hospital. This does come with advanced pay and stand down time the following week to maintain a work/life balance.

In return, the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £50,949. You will also be given 25 holiday days, with paid bank holidays on top. As well as this after a successful first 12 months, you will be enrolled into the company's private medical insurance.

Key Duties

• Shifts between 9-5:30, with one early start (8am) and one late finish (6pm) per week
• No OOH work, passed to Oldbury Pet Hospital
• No overnight work
• Full-time role
• Split of consults and surgery
• Occasional support work at the Oldbury Pet Hospital, with advanced pay for any work covered
