Head Vet Nurse Role, Aylesbury

Independent small animal practice in Aylesbury is seeking a Head Vet Nurse to lead their friendly close-knit team. With no OOHs, no bank holidays and no Sundays and a salary of up to £35,000!

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head Vet Nurse in Aylesbury, working alongside a friendly close-knit team. The practice itself is modern, clean, bright and equipped with all of the facilities needed for a high level of care for patients.

This independent family-run practice is looking for an experienced RVN seeking the next step in their career with a mixture of both clinical and non-clinical duties. The practices itself sees an interesting caseload and they are very supportive and interested in developing their teams interests and are happy to support certificates or training courses.

The practice itself is a bespoke built practice with 3 consult rooms, idexx labs, separate cat and dog isolation and all of the necessary toys needed for the highest level of care for patients. The practice holds high standards of care and part of the Head Nurses responsibility is ensuring quality care is given to each patient coming through the door until they leave.

The working rota is a full time 4-day week 9am-6pm, with 1 in 3 Saturdays from 9am to 2pm. There are no OOHs, Sundays or Bank holidays allowing for a fantastic work-life balance. This with the added bonus of working within a supportive team, makes for aun unmissable opportunity to any Nurse looking for progresssion.

Key Duties

The main responsibilities for the Head Nurse will be assisting mentoring Nurses and assisting in the day to day running of the practice.

Clinical duties will include assisting in theatre alongside the vets, anaesthetics, bloods and labs and Nurses are also encouraged to perform Schedule 3 procedures.
