Are you a Senior Vet with experience managing a team and looking for an exciting new adventure? We are looking for a lead Vet to join a leading Small Animal hospital in Sydney.
Prospect Health are pleased to be working with a leading independent Small Animal hospital in a lovely up and coming area in Sydney Australia. Due to expansion, they are looking for an experience veterinary surgeon with management/leadership experience to join their team as the lead Vet. The hospital is located in a popular family orientated area of the city but with a train that runs directly to city centre every 4mins only taking 30mins. Therefore, regardless of whether you enjoy the hustle and bustle of city life, or quieter suburban lifestyle, there is options for both.
You will join a friendly, experienced and close-knit team of 20 which includes 9 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 nurses, receptionists and support staff. The practice operates at the 'sharp end' of 1st opinion care, meaning very few cases are ever referred and most cases dealt with in house, including complex soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures. This is made possible by the excellent array of facilities that the hospital has, including a CT scanner, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopes, orthopaedic surgical kit, in house lab and much more. The role is full-time 4-days a week with no OOH requirements and 1 in 4 weekends.
The practice is approved to support visa sponsorship and have lots of experience assisting Veterinary professionals relocating from the UK. You will be offered an excellent package of up to $200k + $5k CPD allowance and a week to pursue this. Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements
- You must be registered with the RCVS
- Ideally you will have 5+ years post-graduation veterinary experience (the practice does have other roles for less experienced so please get in touch if you're interested but don't want the additional management responsibilities).
- Friendly, proactive attitude and passionate about being a vet!
- Leadership and management experience is required, ideally within a similar sized team, although the practice welcome someone looking for a step up in their career
