30-37.5 hours Practice Nurse, GP practice in Bicester, Oxfordshire, £37,350-£42,600 FTE, must have min 2 years nursing experience within primary care.

An exciting new opportunity for you to work as a Practice Nurse in a successful, patient-centred GP surgery in Bicester is now available. The practice is well-organised providing excellent practice infrastructure and has a sustainable, clearly defined workload. This role will allow you to enjoy working within a stable and supportive practice team consisting of Salaried GPs, GP Partners, Practice Nurses, Practice Paramedics and Clinical Pharmacists all working collectively to deliver excellent patient care.

Key Duties

• 30-37.5 hrs per week available
• GP practice with excellent support for professional development
• Very well organised practice
• Friendly and cohesive team of GPs
• Excellent clinical support team including, Nurses and Pharmacists
• Central focus in the role is Nurse led treatment for patients with chronic conditions
• Key clinical skills required cover - cervical cytology, immunisation and vaccination, travel health, acute and chronic wound management
• EMIS Web practice software

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Registered Nurse with the NMC,
• Possess the right to work in the UK
• Min. 2 years of recent primary care working experience
• Ideally holding an independent and/or supplementary nurse prescribing qualification
