Rare opportunity for a veterinary surgeon to join one of the few remaining well established independent practices in the Liverpool area.

Prospect Health are pleased to be working with one of the only independently owned small animal practices in the area who due to continued success are looking to welcome an additional veterinary surgeon to their friendly and close-knit team. Proud to have doubled in size during the pandemic, this friendly and growing practice is built on a strong team ethos where case discussions, idea sharing and generally having fun are a priority. With a large majority of their clients insured, and with a focus on maintaining the highest clinical standards, you'll have plenty of opportunity to work cases up thoroughly and provide the best outcome to your patients.

They ensure everyone's voices are heard and they welcome new ideas, whether it's the next big piece of equipment they invest in, the drugs that they use, or even which restaurant to try on your next staff night out! You will have access to a range of excellent facilities including all the usual toys (digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, in house lab, k-laser etc) plus the recent addition of a range of laparoscopic surgical equipment. The existing team have a range of backgrounds and experiences including multiple certificate holders in various disciplines. You'll also have the support of a dedicated team of RVNs and practice support staff who all contribute to making it a fun and vibrant place to work.

Key Duties

• One of the few proudly independent small animal practices in Merseyside
• Close knit, friendly and supportive team of 22
• Two well equipped branches housing a range of excellent facilities including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, K-laser, in-house lab, laparoscopic equipment and much more
• One of the sites is a brand new state-of-the-art clinic
• 6 vets with a range of interested and experience levels, including certificate holders
• 7 RVN's, 3 ANAs/students and a team of practice support staff who ensure the smooth running of the practice
• 4-day week (8:30am - 6:30pm)
• No out of hours or on call
• 1-in-4 Saturday mornings (8:30am - 12:30pm)
• Open to full and part time applicants
• All levels of experience welcome!
