We are looking for a really high-quality registered NURSE manager to guide the service through and beyond its next phase of development, which will see the current residential and supported living registration expanded to include nursing services.

Applicants must be or have been nurses.

THE SERVICE

This well-established, privately-owned care home, is a beautiful, detached Victorian country home, set in 11 acres of beautiful parkland.

Within the grounds, there are a number of supported living cottages.

The service caters for a wide range of people with mental health issues including Learning disabilities, dementia, neurocognitive disorders and ARBD.

Whilst some of the service provision is long-term care, there is a big focus on rehabilitating service users and helping them reintegrate into society.

The service is currently residential and supported living but plans are underway to expand the range of services to include nursing.

THE ROLE

The service development plans are really exciting. Initially, one wing of the house will be converted to house a 5-bed nursing unit. There's also building consent for a new 15-bed unit in a walled garden in the grounds and planning permission has been obtained to extend the kitchen and dining room to support the service expansion.

This is a tremendous opportunity for a high quality manager to broaden their experience, challenge themselves and develop their career (there's probably enough scope here to keep any manager on a great career development path for several years).

The role involves working very closely with the business owner and nominated individual, who is incredibly passionate about the service.

It's a Monday-Friday role, 37.7 hours plus on call every other weekend.

THE CANDIDATE

What we are looking for is someone who:

* is happy to be taken out of their comfort zone and be continually challenged professionally
* can maintain a high level of discretion with regards to business decision making and financial planning
* is calm and professional but also compassionate and caring
* is a big advocate of developing staff teams (everything they do is underpinned by upskilling the team and giving them more confidence)

SALARY

The salary likely to be in the region of £50K + bonus but this is negotiable based on experience.
