Incredible opportunity for a Biomedical Scientist/Lab assistant to move into an amazing sales opportunity, specialising in Histotechnology.

We are excited to be representing an extremely successful Medical devices Brand who are currently looking to add to their talented sales team in their specialised Histotechnology division.

The employer is looking for an individual who has at least 2 years experience as a Biomedical Scientist or Labarotory Assistant who is keen to transfer their skills into an exciting commercial role. No previous sales experience is required, although would be a preference, as you will have an experienced team there to support you in transferring into the incredible role.


Key Responsibilities

  • Key point of customer contact in the North of England and Scotland.
  • Creating demand using solution based selling to develop leads and opportunities on territory.
  • Maintaining a structured territory plan to visit new and existing customers using a CRM.
  • The support and development of new and existing Histology customers.
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relationships.
  • To identify decision makers and influencers at customer accounts as well as future developments, projects and tenders on territory.
  • To observe and report on the market and maintain a knowledge of the competitive landscape.


  • £30,000 - £33,000 Basic
  • £12k On Target Bonus + Package
  • Company Car, Pension, Medical, Training

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Degree or equivalent in Biomedical Science, preferably in Cellular Pathology.
  • Knowledge of NHS purchasing, procurement and Managed Laboratory Service - desirable but not essential
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all aspects of Microsoft office.
  • Practical knowledge of Histotechnology.
  • A current clean driving licence.
  • Smart, professional appearance.
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills (verbal, written and reporting).
  • Enthusiastic and self-motivated with drive and persistence.
