In Spring 2016 we were in the unfortunate position of requiring 3 new small animal vets for our team. Despite advertising in 2 leading Veterinary magazines and on-line we struggled to get good quality applicants. Our practice has had a much higher than usual turnover of Vets this year (a retirement and emigration to Australia & USA). The last three veterinary surgeons we have recruited have all come through Prospect Health. This is despite our having offered the positions through other agencies and direct advertising in the usual journals ourselves.

We are not sure why the best applicants have all come through Prospect Health, other than that the staff there are very thorough and seem to spend large amounts of time talking to their clients, both ourselves as the employer and the veterinary surgeons looking for new positions, and seem to be very good at selecting the right candidate for the right position. This is I suspect an art rather than a science, but one that requires time and effort to perfect.
In particular Lauren Bingham has been very impressive, always pleasant and efficient and going the extra mile. I would rather like to poach her to run our practice, but suspect we cannot afford her. I approached Prospect health to find a high quality vet due to lack of response from traditional adverts and agencies. I had received details from prospect Health and decided to call them to discuss my requirements. I was very pleased with the approach that would be taken and found it easy to explain what I was looking for.

I worked with Oli after seeing a Veterinary role advertised online. After explaining to Oli what kind of job I was looking for and what my career goals were, he worked with me to show me all the available positions that fit my exact requirements. He made my job search so much easier and negated the need for me to spend hours looking online for jobs, some of the jobs he offered me weren’t even advertised!
The best thing about Oliver was that he didn’t pressure me to take any decision and say yes to every job offer. He understood what I was looking for and was willing to help me find it (even if it had to take a bit longer).
