Detailed Breakdown of Registration Steps and Costs

Stage 1: EPIC Account Opening
Stage 2: EPIC Identity Verification
  • Action: Verify identity via online web verification with Notarycam.
  • Documents Required: Photograph, Passport copies, and a completed Electronic Identification Form (EIF).

Stage 3: AMC Portfolio
  • Action: Create an AMC portfolio to obtain an AMC number.

Stage 7: PEP Specialist Stream Application
  • Action: Apply for the PEP Specialist Program.
  • Documents Required: Job offer details (contract), ALS course completion (Completed within the last 4 years), and supervisor’s letter.

Stage 8: AHPRA Registration

Please ask for AHPRA Guidance Document if you do not already have a copy.

You need to complete the AHPRA registration form (AGSP-30) and send it to AHPRA. This can be downloaded from the AHPRA website.

Please be aware that an English Language Test may need to be completed if English isn’t your first language. Please ask me for more details, as whether or not you need to do a new one will be very specific to each person.

Stage 9: Visa Application

Your VISA application will be both applied for by yourself and your employer. This can be done once you have received in-principal approval from AHPRA.

You will also need to have a medical for your VISA application. The cost of this would depend on where you have your medical but it is normally around £300 – £400.

Stage 10: ABN & TFN Number

Notarised copies of passport and driving license

You must apply for your Tax File Number before you can apply for your Medicare number. Please ask us for the application form for your TFN if you can’t find it online (TFN must be completed before you can apply for an Australian Business Number).

Stage 11: AHPRA Meeting

Documents needed: 

Copy of visa

Evidence of offer – Contract or offer letter

Passport

International Police clearance to have been processed

AHPRA require you to attend an online meeting to confirm your registration once in-principal approval has been granted.

Stage 12: Medicare

Documents Needed: 

According to Medicare, the following documents are required for them to process a provider number application:

  • Tax File Number
  • Provider Number Application with all boxes ticked and the application manually signed.

FRACGP Fellowship Status:

You should submit your latest document from RACGP to show your status at the time of application. This will be different for each applicant:

1.) Some doctors will already have full RACGP recognition, meaning they have been sent from the RACGP a Certificate and a Medicare application titled:
