We are looking for a Small Animal veterinary Surgeon to work in superb Independent Small animal practice. The role is with a progressive Practice based in the North Yorkshire area. The role is full time role, with the position becoming available due to retirement.

Key Information:

  • The new vet will perform first opinion consultations, surgery and occasional visits
  • You will share the weekend and out of hours rota which is presently 1 in 4 weekends
  • They have an Out Of Hours Vet does alternate week weekdays, which reduces the weekday rota for the vets to average at 1 in 7 nights
  • The duty vet is responsible for the care of any in patients.
  • They offer a wide variety of veterinary services and encourage discussion and clinical freedom
  • Open discussions of cases allow all the vets to learn from one another and help to continuously improve protocols and the care they offer
  • The practice is looking for a general practitioner but are willing to support a specialism
  • All the vets share equally in consulting, surgery, weekends and out of hours cover
  • The regular working week is 4 days, but they also give extra days which allow long (4 day) weekends off (usually every third week)
