Dispensing Optician vacancy, Barkham, near Reading, basic up to £34,000 plus bonus, full time, alternate Saturdays available

Job Summary

• A rare new prospect to join a prestigious sought after independent service provider near Barkham which is close to Reading as a qualified Dispensing Optician
• This is an ideal position for a fully qualified Dispensing Optician who may be searching for a practice that places more focus on patient care with Optometrists given longer than usual test times in a more relaxed patient centric practice environment
• You will also be working alongside an experienced team of qualified Optometrists, managers and other dispensing assistants who all work diligently and with real care for their much valued and loyal client following

Key Duties

• This is a full time role to work five days a week with a 37.5 hours contract provided
• General working hours are 9am - 5pm Monday to Saturday and please note only alternating Saturdays are required to enable lot's of full weekends off work
• Dispensing and adjusting spectacles to current prescriptions at all levels with time provided to enable a high level of exceptional patient care at every appointment
• Be a strong team player working alongside the practice manger to ensure a high degree of quality service is provided and subsequently reflected in ongoing practice performance
• Work with customers with care and passion offering bespoke recommendations to best suit their clinical, styling and budget needs

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• GOC registered as a Dispensing Optician or very close to receiving your final qualification having completed all final assessments etc
