Locum Pharmacy Technician role - Practice based

Practice Technician - GP Practice

Location: Bristol

Hours: 22.5-30 hours per week

Contract: Locum / Part-Time

Start Date: ASAP

We are currently seeking an experienced Practice Technician to join a busy and supportive GP Practice in Bristol on a part-time basis, working 22.530 hours per week.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated Pharmacy Technician looking to utilise their skills within a primary care setting, supporting both the clinical team and patients to deliver safe and effective medicines optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting medicines optimisation within the GP practice.
• Processing medication requests and repeat prescriptions.
• Undertaking medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge.
• Assisting with prescription queries from patients and healthcare professionals.
• Supporting medication reviews and ensuring prescribing is safe and cost-effective.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Promoting high standards of patient care and medication safety.

Requirements

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (essential).
• Previous experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• GP Practice experience is desirable but not essential, depending on overall experience.
