Great Opportunity at Leading Small Animal Hospital

A six branch practice seeks a nice vet to join their team, working at either the hospital or satellite branches!

A renowned primary care practice with six branches in Cambridgeshire, including a leading 24/7 Small Animal Hospital, is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. You will working alongside a large number of highly skilled and experienced vets, including certificate holders in various specialities, including medicine, surgery, cardiology, dermatology, and diagnostic imaging. Advanced practitioners in medicine and surgery further enhance the team's expertise. The practice is committed to supporting professional development and encourages employees to pursue additional certifications.

The Hospital has three modern operating suites, one being directly next to their new cattery to allow a quiet transition for feline patients away from any dogs. The cat ward is designed in accordance with International Cat Care guidelines to improve feline comfort and minimize stress levels during their stay. It includes clear acrylic doors to reduce noise and partition walls to block the sight of other patients. The hospital also has two preparation rooms and two treatment rooms, and a pet bathing facility. A dedicated ward for pets with potentially infectious illnesses, ensuring the safety and well-being of all patients. Additionally, they have intensive care facilities, such as a humidified oxygen kennel for patients in respiratory distress and an incubator for young puppies, kittens, and small animals.

You will have access to all the advanced medical equipment you would expect at a hospital, ensuring top-notch patient care, including Digital x-ray, Ultrasound, Endoscopy, Echocardiogram (ECG), Blood pressure monitoring equipment, In-house laboratory, and a Dental suite equipped with modern dental instruments, including an ultrasonic de-scaler, polisher, and drill unit. They have separate cat and dog wards.

Key Duties

  • You have the choice of working at the hospital site or branch sites or a mixture of both.
  • Consulting only options are also available if preferred.
  • 4 days a week (9-hour days),
  • 1 weekend in 6
  • 1 Saturday morning in 6
  • No inpatient checks and no out of hours
  • Open to full-time and part-time applications.
