Hospital Pharmacist

Location: Hospital Outpatient Pharmacy, Cambridge

Salary: Competitive hourly rate + excellent benefits

Relocation: Generous relocation package available

Hours: 52 hours per week (flexibility available)

Working Pattern:

• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday - 11-hour shifts
• Wednesday - Day off
• Saturday - 8-hour shift

The Role

As a Hospital Pharmacist, you'll be responsible for delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services to a diverse patient population within a busy outpatient department.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing prescription medications accurately and in accordance with all legal and professional standards.
• Providing expert medication counselling and support to patients.
• Working closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate patient records and supporting effective stock management.
• Advising patients on medicines, treatments, and healthcare products.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of pharmacy services and patient care.

About the Pharmacy

This is a thriving outpatient pharmacy that dispenses approximately 22,000 prescription items each month, providing exposure to a wide variety of clinical cases and treatments.

What We're Looking For

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Previous pharmacy experience (hospital experience is advantageous but not essential).
• Passion for delivering exceptional patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical knowledge and commitment to continuous professional development.
• Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving.
