Band 6 Audiologist

A leading healthcare provider in Plymouth is seeking a dedicated Band 6 Audiologist to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality adult audiology services, diagnosing and managing a wide range of hearing conditions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, patient-centered environment with a focus on delivering outstanding care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive adult audiology assessments, including pure tone audiometry, tympanometry, and speech audiometry.
  • Diagnosing hearing loss and other auditory conditions.
  • Fitting and maintaining hearing aids and other assistive listening devices.
  • Offering counselling and advice to patients regarding hearing loss and available management options.
  • Developing individualized care plans and maintaining accurate clinical records.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide holistic patient care.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
  • Participating in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in audiology.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • HCPC registered Audiologist with a relevant qualification in Audiology.
  • Experience in adult audiology services, including diagnosis and management of hearing loss.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using audiological equipment and systems.
  • A patient-centered approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
  • A commitment to professional development and staying updated with advancements in the field.
