Salaried GP

We have an exciting opportunity for a salaried GP to join a highly successful and well-established training Primary Care Centre in Workington. Flexible working pattern available including working a mixture of days/evenings/weekends.

Become part of a friendly and cohesive team of health professionals delivering excellent medical care across the local area within a well-structured environment. The ideal candidate will have experience of working in an A&E/urgent care or walk in centre.

As a salaried GP you will manage acute presentations of patients and leave behind some of the administrative demands in daily primary care. There will also be the opportunity to support and supervise the clinical team for those wishing to take on these additional responsibilities.

This is a clinical post working within a training environment and has an educational aspect which involves providing support and supervision through advice, guidance to the team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Minor Injuries Nurse, Paramedics and Physician's Associate to develop their skills.

Key Duties

  • 6-8 clinical sessions a week available
  • Low administrative duties

Package and Benefits

  • Circa up to £10,000 per session, per annum
  • There is a standard sessional rate with potential uplift for supervision activities

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • MRCGP with license to practice as a GP
  • GMC registered
  • Included on the NHS performers list
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Experience of minor operations (advantageous)
