Registered Vet Nurse Position, Braintree

This veterinary practice in Braintree is actively seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their close-knit team. This practice takes pride in its state-of-the-art facilities, featuring digital x-ray, in-house labs, blood pressure monitoring, ultrasound, echocardiogram and even orthopaedic equipment. These resources enable the team to provide top-notch veterinary care, ensuring that every patient receives the attention they deserve.

The practice is home to a welcoming and friendly team that works collaboratively to ensure the best care for their patients. With 3 full-time RVNs and 1 part-time RVN, along with 3 full-time receptionists, 1 SVN, 2 VCAs, and 3 experienced vets, you'll be joining a team that truly values camaraderie and mutual support.

The practice ideally looking for a full time RVN to join their team, but they can be flexible to part time applicants. The full time position would be 40 hours per week, with shifts varying between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm or 11:15 am to 7:15 pm, each including a half-hour lunch break.
The role also includes 1 in 4 weekends on a rota basis, with no on call or OOHs responsibilities, allowing for a wonderful work-life balance.


Key Duties

The practice is seeking an RVN ideally with enough experience to hit the ground running in this busy practice, although support can be given in areas needing development. In this role, you'll engage your nursing skills in a variety of tasks, including anaesthetics, inpatient care, stock control, catheters, schedule 3 procedures, theatre work, clinics, and occasionally some reception duties. This multifaceted position ensures that your expertise is fully utilized whilst allowing for continuous career development.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • Registered on the RCVS to work as a veterinary nurse
