Optometrist

Optometrist, Andover, full or part time, basic up to £70,000 plus car/car allowance, plus bonus.

Providing a professional and community based service, the opticians cover a wide range of eye care services which include more specialist areas such as EOS services, where you are given time to cater to your patients needs in a low-pressure, high-quality environment.

If you have any key areas of interest where you would like to develop, the practices are highly supportive and will support you in any given direction you wish to pursue with sponsorship available through clinical development.

There is a strong, market leading package on offer which includes a company car, while the role itself presently an excellent option for Optometrists keen on locum work but prefer the guaranteed income of a salaried role.


Key Duties

  • Covering a few practice locations in close proximity to Andover in a mobile role with well planned stable rota made available well in advance
  • Full or part-time position which can be tailored to suit your schedule/preference
  • The practices are part of a larger group of opticians offering exceptional quality of service to their established patient base
  • Working hours are generally 9:00am-5.30pm Monday to Saturday, with weekend flexibility negotiable
  • Flexible 30+ minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care
  • Highly-established patient base allowing for a less sales driven, pressure free working environment giving you the ability to focus solely on what's best for your patient
  • Continuously invest in cutting edge technology where within the practices they have OCT and Optomap amongst more, plus a fully paperless patient management system
  • The business has a very low staff turnover where you will be support by experienced Dispensing Opticians and Optical Assistants

  • Very Competitive salary between £50,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements


  • Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
  • Registered with the GOC as an Optometrist
  • Full UK driving licence
