An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and confident Veterinary Surgeon to join a growing independent small animal practice in the Preston area. The practice is expanding and looking for a vet who enjoys a varied caseload, values excellent client communication, and can thrive in a friendly, supportive environment.
About the Practice
This is a modern, well-equipped first opinion practice with a spacious, purpose-built facility. The set-up includes:
- Large theatre with anaesthesia machine, ventilator, and full surgical facilities
- Digital X-ray, ultrasound, dental machine, in-house laboratory, bronchoscope
- Separate X-ray room and large prep area
- Plans to develop further, including keyhole surgery specialism and RCVS accreditation
- Visiting orthopaedic surgeon for advanced procedures
The Role
This role would suit a vet who is confident with surgery, consults, emergencies, and able to handle some sole charge when required. As well as enjoying building strong relationships with clients.
- No out-of-hours work
- Opening hours: 9am7pm
- Flexible consult times (standard 15 minutes, extendable to 30)
- Opportunity to develop a personal clinical interest, with potential to progress to a Lead Vet role
Package
- Salary: up to £65,000 DOE
- 28 days holiday
- Generous CPD allowance (£1,500)
- RCVS & VDS fees paid
