We are currently supporting a market leading global brand as they look to appoint a Surgical Ophthamology / Microscope Sales in the Midlands. You will pick up a highly established Hopsital client base which exceeds £1.5 million annual sales.

You will be responsible for all sales activities in assigned territory for all hospitals/customers within product range including territory mapping, lead qualification and execution, opportunity and demonstration (of equipment) management whilst maintaining account intelligence in CRM and communicating market trends back to the 'businesses.

Working in a professional, compliant manner to achieve full annual sales target for territory, contributing to successful achievement of MCS national budget.

Responsible for transparent and accurate planning, projecting, reporting and forecasting of sales activity from each opportunity to meet quarterly budget milestones.

Responsible for the coordination and management of the portfolio ensuring customer engagement through clinical demonstrations, solution portfolio presentation, exploring all financial and commercial solutions, working within the remit of the Sales Excellence Handbook.

Leveraging a portfolio of innovation across both clinical and financial aspects of NHS for premium and focus products to ensure strategic and budget requirements are met.

Responsible for maintaining and acquiring new product, technology and market knowledge and keeping updated with portfolio changes and influences within territory.

Capital sales experience within the Hospital setting is essential for this role.

Key Duties

Principal Elements

  • Develop an effective sales strategy to maintain existing market share and identify/ develop new sales opportunities for portfolio sales within the territory.
  • Deliver full annual sales target and all key performance objectives with effective lead and opportunity management.
  • Qualify clinical need and financial consideration for product demonstrations, effectively and efficiently fulfilling key strategic and user requirements within surgical and out-patient fields across MCS portfolio with appropriate liaison across stakeholder for EBME, Theatres and Procurement.
  • Identify and build strong relationships with diverse and comprehensive group of stakeholders in NHS and private hospitals/groups to include Surgeons, Nursing team, Business and Theatre Manager, Medical Engineers and Procurement and Finance professionals.
  • Full responsibility for appropriate utilization and organization of demonstration equipment to facilitate product evaluation and convert sales opportunities in line with pricing policy.
  • Develop and convert all leads resulting from field and marketing activity with effective management to drive opportunities to successful conclusion with transparency and accuracy of pipeline and forecasting.
  • Establish and maintain professional conduct with internal and external customers, within territory, at exhibitions, during workshops and whilst carrying out any duties as a representative of the company.
  • Prepare annual territory business plan to recognize full potential for achievement of full annual sales
