Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Veterinary Surgeon - Up to £85,000 | Independent Practice | South West London

Are you an experienced small animal vet seeking a fulfilling role within a truly independent, progressive practice? Do you enjoy working with a collaborative team, using high-quality equipment, and having the clinical freedom to shape your caseload? This could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

We're proud to be working with an independent practice working out of a purpose-built, modern veterinary practice in the heart of South West London, offering a rare opportunity for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their growing team. Since opening in 2021, the clinic has built a fantastic reputation in the local community for gold-standard care, a down-to-earth team culture, and its commitment to doing things differently.

This is a practice that genuinely puts quality of care and team wellbeing at the forefront. With 20-minute consults, a well-balanced split between surgery and consulting, and no out-of-hours work, the role is ideal for a vet who enjoys getting to know their clients and delivering thorough, considered medicine-without the pressure of rushed appointments or targets.

You'll be working alongside a well-established clinical team made up of experienced vets and RVNs, supported by a leadership team that truly listens and invests in its people. They team are looking for a vet with ideally four or more years of practice under their belt-who can bring confidence in surgery, a strong grounding in internal medicine, and solid ultrasound skills. While a certificate is by no means essential, the practice is well-equipped to support one and is particularly interested in those with interests in imaging or medicine.

The clinic itself is light, spacious, and well-equipped with everything you'd expect from a quality GP site, including a full surgical suite (with the exception of keyhole), digital radiography, dental x-ray, in-house lab, and an advanced ultrasound setup.

In terms of rota, this is a full-time role of 40 hours per week, typically over four days. Saturdays are limited to 1 in 3 mornings only, and there is no on-call or OOH requirement, allowing you to enjoy a true work-life balance.

In return, you'll receive a highly competitive salary of up to £85,000 depending on experience, along with a generous CPD allowance and full support for further training or certificate study. The benefits package includes a strong holiday allowance, paid professional memberships, and the opportunity to work in a practice that values its team just as much as its patients.

If you're a dedicated, capable, and friendly vet who thrives in a supportive team and enjoys variety in your caseload, this could be your perfect next step.
