Join a Leading Small Animal Hospital, King's Lynn

An Outstanding Purpose Built Hospital in King's Lynn is Looking to Expand their Team, Offering a Salary up to £75,000!

A purpose built hospital which has been accredited as outstanding in all six RCVS awards, based in the picturesque port and market town of King's Lynn has an exciting vacancy for a small animal vet.

You will be working alongside an incredibly skilled team of fifteen vets, including four advanced practitioners as well as certificate holders in internal medicine, ECC, surgery, and ophthalmology. You will also work with eighteen RVNs, eleven SVNs, and a large team of support staff.

As you expected the hospital boasts outstanding facilities, with eight consult rooms, two theatres (with a planned expansion increasing this to four), an ICU, and dedicated cattery. Equipment includes a brand new CT scanner, storz scopes, laparoscopic equipment, compressive diagnostics lab with advanced blood testing, high spec digital imaging, harmonic scalpel, vascular sealing device, colour flow doppler ultrasound, capnography, ventilators, and slit lamp.

In your role you will see a varied caseload, which can be tailored towards your clinical interests. The full-time rota involves a 4.5 day week, including one in four weekends where you will work Saturday from 08:00 till 16:00 and then either Sunday morning or afternoon. The hospital also provides their own OOH so you will be on call one night every fortnight, though they reward you for this with an enhanced rate and 20% of revenue from any cases you see.

  • 4.5 day week
  • OOH shift once a fortnight: 18:30 - 09:00
  • Enhanced rate for OOH, 20% of revenue for cases
  • 1 in 4 weekends
  • Saturday shift 8am-4pm
  • Sunday is either AM or PM
