Optometrist

Are you looking to work for a more clinical practice? Are you unhappy with working in a pressurised working environment and would prefer a more patient focused role?

Are you looking to step away from the high-pressure, sales-driven environment of the high street?

Do you want to join a truly clinical, patient-first optical practice where your expertise is valued, and your development is supported?

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join one of Europe's most respected and well-established optometric practices.

With a heritage dating back over a century and a reputation for innovation in eye care, this award-winning Northampton-based practice offers a refreshing alternative to the volume-focused model of modern optics.

This forward-thinking, independent practice is renowned for its commitment to clinical excellence, offering state-of-the-art technology and a supportive, collaborative team environment.

You'll work with cutting-edge diagnostic tools such as OCT and Optomap and have the opportunity to contribute to and lead in specialist areas such as dry eye, myopia management, and colorimetry.

Role Overview:

  • Full or part time
  • Standard 30-minute test times to ensure thorough, unhurried patient care
  • Clinical freedom in a non-pressurised, boutique-style environment
  • Work with a high-end, bespoke product range
  • Opportunities to develop and deliver services in specialist clinics
  • Be part of a supportive, quality-focused team with a long-standing reputation

Package and Benefits:

  • Up to £65,000 basic salary (dependent on experience) plus performance-based bonus
  • Private healthcare and CET training provided
  • Modern working environment with the latest clinical technology
  • Genuine opportunity to shape and develop future clinical services

Candidate Requirements:

  • GOC-registered Optometrist with full right to work in the UK
  • Passionate about delivering the highest standards of patient care
  • Reliable, conscientious, and driven by clinical excellence
  • Interest in specialist services is desirable but not essential training and support provided

If you're seeking a long-term opportunity in a practice that truly puts patients and clinical care first, this could be the ideal role for you.
