We are looking to recruit a part-time resident optician to join our friendly and professional team, who is naturally friendly and can deliver great results.

We are looking for a skilled Optometrist to join a long standing and well-established Optician in the Gateshead area. You would be expected to be a strong communicator who can offer excellent customer service in a calm friendly manner and somebody who is well organised.

You would be joining a small, close knit team, where everyone helps each other, which helps deliver the top-quality customer service that has become expected of this independent practice.

As an optometrist you will make sure patients get an expert eye examination, you will work to the highest clinical standards and ensure we comply with NHS guidelines.

Key Duties

• Part-time position which can be tailored to your preferred schedule
• Flexible 30-minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care
• They have a highly established patient base allowing for a less sales driven, pressure free working environment giving you the ability to focus solely on what's best for your patient
• The Company continuously invest in cutting edge technology where the practice has a state-of-the-art OCT machine
• Supported in your role by an experienced practice team

Package and Benefits

• An excellent basic of £45,000 - £60,000 pro rata
• Monday to Friday 9am-5:30pm, no evenings, no Sundays or evenings which makes for a great work/life balance
• Half day on a Saturday!
• GOC fees paid
• Flexible 30-minute testing times enabling exceptional high quality patient care

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom
• Registered with the GOC as an Optometrist
