Job Summary

An award-winning, high-end independent optical store in the heart of Nottingham is seeking to welcome a new Dispensing Optician to their close-knit team.

Known for its cutting-edge clinics and exceptional patient care, this modern and stylish practice offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to thrive in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Working alongside an experienced and highly regarded DO, the successful candidate will benefit from real-time support and shared expertise.

While a qualified Dispensing Optician is preferred, the team is open to considering an experienced non-qualified dispenser and is happy to support the right candidate through their DO qualification.

This isn't just any optical practice - the store has earned multiple industry awards and runs specialist clinics including Dry Eye, School Vision, and Sports Vision, with a client base that includes elite athletes and members of the Ladies England Cricket Team.

Key Duties

• Advising patients on the most suitable eyewear for their needs, lifestyle, and prescription
• Dispensing a wide range of frames and lenses, including bespoke and high-end options
• Ensuring accurate fitting and adjustments for optimal comfort and vision
• Providing support and expertise in specialist clinics when required
• Maintaining high standards of customer care and professional service
• Assisting in mentoring junior team members or trainees
• Keeping up to date with industry trends and product knowledge

Package and Benefits

• Full-time position: Tuesday to Saturday
• Competitive salary of £28,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience
