  • Average weekly hours of 43.25
  • Monday Friday: 09:00 17:30
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays: 09:00 12:00
  • Hourly rate up to £28 per hour

About the Role

Are you a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist looking for an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in community healthcare?

An established and community-focused pharmacy group is seeking an experienced Pharmacist to join a busy branch located in Nottinghamshire. This pharmacy is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the wellbeing of the local community.

You will be working alongside a strong and experienced team in a fast-paced, supportive environment where patient care is the top priority.

The pharmacy dispenses approximately 12,000-13,000 items per month and is located in a busy community setting. The branch benefits from automated dispensing technology, helping streamline workflow and allowing pharmacists to focus more on clinical services and patient care.

Team & Environment

The branch is supported by a knowledgeable team including:

  • Non-pharmacist Manager
  • 5 Dispensers
  • Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT)

This well-established team provides excellent support, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently in line with legal and professional standards
  • Provide medication counselling and patient support
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care
  • Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe medicines management
  • Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy stock
  • Deliver vaccination services where applicable
  • Provide advice on OTC medicines and healthcare products
  • Support health promotion and public health initiatives within the community

Requirements

  • Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
  • Previous experience in community pharmacy
  • Strong commitment to patient care and safety
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Up-to-date knowledge of pharmacy services and pharmaceutical products
  • A flexible and proactive approach to problem solving
