We are working with a leading small animal first opinion practice in Nottinghamshire, who are looking to welcome a friendly and caring vet to their supportive and professional team. The practice itself is commutable from Nottingham and Mansfield and is a large, stand-alone and modern clinic. It houses an array of excellent facilities including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, in house lab, lasers, soft tissue and orthopaedic kit, large ops theatre, multiple spacious consult rooms, separate cat, dog and exotics areas and much more.

The existing team has a range of experience and clinical interests, so whatever your passion, you'll have support and someone to turn to for advice. Certificates are funded and encouraged and one of the existing team has recently completed their certificate in small animal medicine. The role will have a good mix of surgery and consulting but can be tailored to suit your interests, giving you more surgery days if you wish. The practice was founded on the basis providing a high-qualify and personalised service and not on footfall through the door. As a result, longer consultations are standard, and you're encouraged to exercise clinical freedom and work cases up thoroughly.

Key Duties

• Well-established 4-vet practice, situated in commutable distance to Mansfield and Nottingham
• Bright, modern and spacious clinic with excellent facilities, including digital and dental X-ray, ultrasound, in house lab, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgical kit and much more
• Excellent caseload, including exotics if this is something you're interested in (don't worry if not!)
• Good mix of surgery and consulting which can be tailored to suit your interests
• Friendly and experienced nursing and practice management team
• Full and part time considered
• 4-day week
• 1 in 4 Sat mornings only
• No Sunday work or OOH

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

• You must have the right to work in the UK
• You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
• Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months experience as a small animal vet
• Friendly and proactive attitude and ability to build good relationships with colleagues and clients alike
