The Role
You'll be working in a high-volume community pharmacy delivering free prescriptions alongside a broad range of clinical services, including:

• Vaccinations
• Emergency contraception
• UTI consultations
• Community-based primary healthcare services

Pharmacies are supported by advanced dispensing automation, strong technician teams, and multiple pharmacists on shift, allowing you to practise at the top of your licence in a well-resourced environment.

Registration, Relocation & Support

• Completion of the New Zealand Pharmacy Council clinical exam
• Supervised practice period on arrival (commonly 48 weeks, often faster for experienced candidates)
• Supervised pay rate: NZD $45 per hour
• Upon full APC registration, pay increases high-performing pharmacists may start above NZD $50.88 per hour
• NZD $10,000 relocation allowance (taxed locally)
• Key professional costs covered, including APC registration fees and insurance reimbursements

Community pharmacists remain on New Zealand's Green List, offering more streamlined residency and visa pathways for eligible candidates.

Salary Perspective
