An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Associate Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive and well-equipped multi-site practice in the Canberra region.
This role offers genuine flexibility, exposure to advanced surgical procedures, and a clear pathway into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon position for the right candidate.
The Practice
This established organisation operates across two complementary clinics - a highly equipped, technology-driven hospital and a secondary clinic servicing a semi-rural community just outside Canberra.

The Role
This position is split across both locations and offers a diverse caseload consisting of approximately 95% small animal work, with a small component of mixed practice exposure. Large animal experience is not essential.
The practice has strong in-house surgical capability, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further advance their surgical expertise. You will be supported by experienced colleagues with advanced skills in:

The Practice

- Endoscopy
- CT imaging (at the primary hospital)
- Full in-house laboratory facilities
- Dedicated dental suite
- Digital X-ray and ultrasound
- Purpose-built surgery suite
- Fully equipped outcall vehicle (at the secondary site)
The Role
This position is split across both locations and offers a diverse caseload consisting of approximately 95% small animal work, with a small component of mixed practice exposure. Large animal experience is not essential.
The practice has strong in-house surgical capability, making this an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to further advance their surgical expertise. You will be supported by experienced colleagues with advanced skills in:
- Fracture repairs
- Abdominal surgery
- TPLO procedures
- Spinal surgeries
- Advanced imaging including CT and MRI
There is also a genuine opportunity for career progression into a Lead Veterinary Surgeon role at one of the sites.
About You
- BVSc (or equivalent) recognised for registration in Australia
- Comfortable working independently when required
- Strong surgical interest or experience
- Motivated to continue developing professionally
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
